Edgar Allan poe ::as a writer, a person and what sort of philosophical projects:

When Poe was young, he attended the University of Virginia for one year before his father decided that he wouldn't give him money.Thomas Jefferson founded this university, so he took his story from Jefferson's life especially his death in July 4, 1826

Poe is a psychological writer , that is; he describes the feelings, the mood, the psychology of his characters: depression, sadness, ...

The characters:<

-Roderick Usher: the narrator mentions how he used to look, how he looks now, the disease, his change, his illness because of the intermarriage
-Madeline Usher
-The narrator who is anonymous

The Family in the Fall of the House of Usher:

Poe sees the family as a negative influence and he uses the Usher's family to refer to the society in large: when the family dies, the house falls
Poe talks about the American family at that time and was pessimistic about the American culture: He has a negative assessment of the possibilities of people to be better than they are ( the human nature )

Poe's family:

Poe had a horrible family; his parents were actors. His father left his mother and shortly after, his mother died. So, Poe became an orphan. Then, he was adopted and his adopted father was so cruel on him

Poe was very deeply a sad person.He drove himself to die at an early age(40) because of his drinking.He couldn't keep a job and had a very bad reputation
His wife was his cousin Virginia with whom he had a weird relationship. She died in 1846 at the age of 20. After her death, Poe wrote several poems about the beautiful dead woman and firstly, he was inspired by his mother.
